Timber Morphology

2020-2021 ITECH Group Studio

The overarching goal of the studio was to investigate how integrative design and construction can enable novel building typologies and morphologies in multi-story timber construction by leveraging possibilities of digital fabrication and computational design.

There is an urgent need to rethink design and construction in architecture. This is relevant now because of the large global concern of environmental sustainability, the growing urban population, and the prevalence of new technologies.
